House and Amenities

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully stocked providing anything you could need or want in order to cook up a storm. You only need to bring the chef 😉! Please let us know if you're still missing anything.

• The Oven

Uses Celsius as it’s temperatures. Please make sure you turn both buttons to the OFF position when you are done. Thank you

• The Refrigerator,

Please do not change the settings of the fridge to prevent unwanted extra charges created by having to call in a specialist… In the past changes made by our guests have caused the fridge to breakdown.

Extra larger amounts of ice (in bags, for in cool boxes/ BBQ’s/ etc), can be bought at almost every mini supermarket on the island. Please double check if you have closed the doors well each time, to prevent food from spoiling!

• The stove/ cooktop

Ignites automatically, no need for a lighter. There are lighters and matches in the drawers just in case though In case the gas runs out, please contact us and we will have it renewed asap.

• The Sink

Because it’s made out of ceramic, the sink is very easily scratched and dishes can break easily as well (therefor we added a little mat to protect the dishes). Please use with care.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool area is shared with the the guests in the apartment located in the back of the property when occupied (max 2 persons) The apartment is completely separate of the main house, has it’s own entrance, lounging and BBQ area, Only the pool is shared. The pool is maintained twice a week, by a pool cleaning service company, in the early morning.

Bedrooms

Each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning, which can be turned on and off with a remote controle. Please turn the air conditioners off if and when you are not using them. Electricity is worth gold here in Aruba and is extremely expensive. We don’t want to have to charge our guest extra for the over use of the air-conditioning.

And please be careful with the programming of these remote controls, only the temperature should be manipulated, because in the past remotes accidentally switched to Fan have caused our guests a lot of discomfort and lead them to think that the air conditioner was broken, when it was not….. So preferably please choose only the On and Off buttons

Bedding and covers are the European style bedding (the duvet is inserted into a special cotton cover) and both are washed separate from each other and are changed before each each new guest arrival/ check-in. There is no need to remove bedding upon departure, we will take care of it all. 😊

Bathrooms

Both bathrooms are equipped with hot water showers, the master bathroom also has dual shower heads You can find Beach towels in the small cabinet in the smaller bathroom And light colored Pool towels on the brown side table. Please don’t use other towels for the pool, to prevent (bleach) stains, thank you! The dark gray colored bath towels are for in house use only please. Just leave the used towels hanging in the bathrooms, upon your departure, we will take care of them. If you need clean towels, just let us know. We don’t exchange them daily though. There is a hairdryer available

Please don’t leave burning candles or mosquito spirals, hot hair curling irons etc on the sinks.

Lights

The garden lights, the pool area lights and the outer porch lights are all set to turn on and off on timers. Please do not change or manipulate any of the timers. The rest of the lights in and outside can be turned on and off by the switches on the walls, which now have little stickers on them stating which switch goes with which light!

Sometimes after really heavy rainfall, a fuse can blow and part of the house will not have any electricity. Please contact us and we will help you resolve the problem asap.

Second Floor

The second floor is being used as an attic/ storage area and is locked. There are plans to decorate the upstairs veranda and add that space to the lounging areas available to our guests, but we are not there yet. The staircase leading up to the upstairs veranda is really not safe, so please don’t use it!!!!

Snorkeling Gear

These are all available for you to use whenever you like. Special request, please rinse them after you are done using them, that way we can all enjoy them for much longer! :) Also if something breaks, doesn’t work right or goes missing, please let us know, so we don’t end up with incomplete sets and broken gear.
